Good evening, Creatures! We're still moving along great. We had Creatures at TFest running DDC games and supporting us. From what we've been told, it was an amazing Con. We've heard rumors that they are planning to expand their space for next year. If you're anywhere near Austin, TX, check them out!



I, (John), am gearing up for Br&wl Con in the Houston, TX area. I am a special guest and will be running a couple of games to include the Wanting Wizard for DDC. The Wanting Wizard is a hex-crawling fetch quest where you can venture into different environments and even tie it in to other adventures. It's super easy to convert to DDC, and we'll also give you some guidance with that in the DDC rules book. If you're at Br&wl Con, please look for me and let me know you're a DDC fan. As a thank you, I'll give you some free swag (while my supplies last!). We'll post a recap after!

Finally, we're super close to another stretch goal that involves free dice! With that in mind, I figured it would be a good time to share a video where I fumble on my first official roll of a DDC playtest campaign. It's a short video that is also a snippet of Stefan Surratt's DCC-compatible mega-adventure, the Conquest of Chaos. I promise the video is short and amusing. Take a look here!

  • US $22,000 - ART BY KEELAN HALVORSEN: At this stretch goal, we will commission the talented Keelan Halvorsen to make a full page of black and white art that will be featured in the book. 

Keelan is an experienced artist with numerous artworks featured in tabletop roleplaying games over the years. You can find more of his incredible artwork here.

  • US $25,000 - ANOTHER ADVENTURE: At this level, an original Dungeon Dwelling Creatures adventure, Through Time, will be included in all versions of the book. 


  • US $27,000 - VIRTUAL BATTLE MAP: At this level, a virtual battle map for the Through Time adventure is unlocked.


  • US $30,000 - A NEW CLASS BY BRENDAN LASALLE: Crazy Uncle Brendan has agreed to provide a new class, the Swarm Tribe. The Swarm Tribe class represents several different species of tiny humanoids that band together and act in unison. These tiny folk live, work, and fight so closely with one another that they effectively act as a superorganism.

Brendan LaSalle is a writer for Goodman Games, best known for his thrilling Xcrawl DCC-compatible system and setting. He has written numerous adventures for Goodman Games and is also the head of the Road Crew!

Gen Con Recap AND Sample Dice!

Hey, creatures! As promised, here is your Gen Con recap!



What a great time at Gen Con! For those who have not had the pleasure of going, it is a heck of an experience! It was fun, but I know everyone I went with needed a break to catch up on some much-needed sleep.

We arrived on Wednesday and hit the ground early on Thursday. We were primarily in LOS (Lucas Oil Stadium) running games in the Dark Master's Domain (aka Joseph Goodman of Goodman Games)! We ran tons of Dungeon Dwelling Creatures Games, Weird Frontiers, and the upcoming Dragon King's for DCC.

On Friday, we all wore our Dungeon Dwelling Creatures shirts to support our launch. We finished out with more games over the weekend and made one last trip to the vendor hall on Sunday before heading back to our rented house. Thank you to everyone who sat in on some DDC games and who chatted with us at Gen Con. Those who got a free monster token, I hope you use it wisely! Obligatory photo dump follows.



And, hot off the press, the sample Dungeon Dwelling Creatures Dice from Impact Miniatures arrived... at their facilities. They are in the process of sending the sample dice to us. The sample dice are the standard 7-dice, but the sets we are selling are the full 14-dice set (that includes the funky dice). A picture is below, but we will post a short video once we have sample dice in hand.
